New Mowasat Hospital (NMH) proudly secured Diamond level Accreditation from Accreditation Canada for the fourth time, marking the sixth renewal cycle. Notably, this accreditation also extends to the New Mowasat Mangaf Clinics (NMC) for the first time, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s commitment to excellence in healthcare provision. The diamond level accreditation achieved by the Mangaf clinics sets a precedent, establishing them as pioneers for being the first satellite ambulatory clinics to be accredited in the State of Kuwait.

Mr. Abdullah Al. Wazzan, Chief Executive Officer, expressed gratitude for the recognition from Accreditation Canada, acknowledging the collective effort of the organization's staff in upholding standards of excellence. He reaffirmed commitment to continuous quality improvement and delivering excellent services to patients and their families.

Dr. Alexander Varghese, Hospital Director, Attaining Diamond level Accreditation signifies Mowasat’s steadfast adherence to internationally recognized standards, reflecting its commitment to delivering safe and effective patient care. The accreditation process involved a rigorous on-site survey conducted in February 2024 by a team of assessors from Canada. Experts meticulously evaluated the hospital (NMH) as well as the Mangaf Clinics (NMC) for compliance with standards across various domains, including Patient Safety, people-centered care, quality improvement, infection prevention and control, and facility safety.

Ms. Shaheena Sheikh, Director of Quality & Clinical Excellence, emphasized that delivering quality care with good clinical outcomes is part of the hospital's DNA and what differentiates it from other healthcare institutions. She also highlighted that the Accreditation Canada recognition for best healthcare processes adds an extra layer of trust for patients and their families ensuring that the best practices and patient safety is maintained in all care processes. It is also impressive to note that the hospital has attained an overall 100% score in all the required standards.
