DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Duties

1. Works under supervision of Consultants and Specialists working in the Department
2. Prepares written documentation as required and ensures delivery of quality services in area of operations.
3. Establishes and maintains communication within the Department and with other Hospital departments. Develops relationships with professional affiliations and others as is appropriate.
4. Participates in new testing procedures and related protocol. Introduces and demonstrates new approved techniques, and usage of equipment, when required.
5. Interprets the radiographic images, performs contrast studies and prepares reports on the patients subjected to radiology procedures.
6. Provides interpretations of all tests performed by Imaging Services within a time frame established by the medical staff and the Hospital Administrator under supervision of attendant Consultant /Specialist.

• Subject to unpredictable or crisis situations
• May have to work long hours, in shifts and be available on-call to deal with medical emergencies.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Duties

1. Prepares audiometric diagnostic data & written diagnostic reports.
2. Provides auditory evaluations and education by measuring and studying noise conditions;
3. Completes clinical notes of surgical cases and writes medical reports in consultation with the ENT physician
4. Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt

Patient Care

1. Considers the patient’s safety as the first priority while working.
2. Provides treatments by cleaning ear canal; fitting hearing aides and other assistive devices; conducting auditory training and instruction in speech and lip reading;
3. Provides required counseling for patients and families; on ways to listen and communicate
4. Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services by assessing and treating neonate, infant, children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric hearing, balance, and communication disorders

Compliance with Medical Ethics

1. Maintains legal and accreditation compliance by adhering to Ministry regulations, and professional standards.
2. Exhibits appropriate personal and interpersonal professional behavior; practices medicine ethically
3. Defines patient hearing impairment and balance disorder by conferring with referring physician;

Other Duties

1. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests;
2. Attends regularly scheduled meeting for the improvement of patient care services and delivery
3. Performs all other additional assignments as requested by the Clinical Director

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: Medical Doctors with Bachelors’ Degree of Medicine & Surgery & Master’s Degree in Audiology.

Trained in Basic Life Support (BLS) desired

Licensing: Valid License from Ministry of Health-Kuwait to practice as a Registrar Audiologist

EXPERIENCE: Preferably 4 years’ experience as an Registrar Audiologist

OTHER SKILLS:

Management Skills: Problem Solving, Decision Making , Counselling and Critical Thinking skills; Attention to detail and a Team Player Soft Skills: Excellent Communication and Inter-Personal skills

Computer Skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Internet and Hospital MIS Language Skills: Good in written and spoken English, Arabic is an advantage

Physical & WORKING CONDITIONS

Works primarily in the hospital environment such as the emergency room, inpatient surgery wards, operating room, and outpatient clinics. May be exposed to infections and patient elements

Operational Duties

1. Examines internal structures and functions of organ systems; makes diagnoses after correlation of x-ray findings with other examinations and tests.
2. Analyzes studies of Imaging Services, makes diagnoses and consults with physicians.
3. Provides interpretations of all tests performed by Imaging Services within a time frame established by the medical staff and the Hospital Administrator.
4. Makes recommendations for new or improvements to the equipment being used in Imaging Services.
5. Conducts continuing education meetings and ensures department personnel participation in continuing education programs.
6. Provides instructions as required to the various departments in the form of a continuing education program.
7. Contributes in development and/or approval of all policies and procedures for Imaging Services.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Duties

1. 1. Performs wide range of procedures encompassing both Cosmetic and Reconstructive surgery; Facial surgery, Body surgery, Minor & Non-Invasive procedures.
   2. Perform cosmetic procedures, such as chin and cheekbone enhancements & Perform surgery on the mouth and jaws to treat conditions such as cleft lip and palate and jaw growth problems.
   3. Examine and diagnose patients to identify an abnormality and determine suitable course of treatment.
   4. Educate patients on the risks associated with a procedure as well as proffer recommendations on post-operative requirements
   5. Utilizes the latest technology, advanced techniques, specialized training and skills to give patients the best possible results from their procedures seeking personal satisfaction.
   6. Restores form and function by moving skin, bone, nerves, and other tissues from other parts of the body to reconstruct the jaws and face.
   7. Performs reconstructive surgeries to restore normal appearance to patients with congenital or circumstantial deformity.
   8. Provides consultations to patients on surgery as well as give them post-operative recommendations to ensure proper healing.
   9. Perform microsurgery to transfer tissues to reconstruction sites (head/hand) where they are missing & Treat infections of the oral cavity, salivary glands, jaws, and neck.
   10. Perform invasive surgeries to correct physical deformities.
   11. Conduct procedures for the sterilization of surgical equipment.
   12. Administer non-surgical treatment to enhance outward beauty
   13. Undertakes work in accordance with the Hospital’s procedures and operating policies; works within agreed quality frameworks.
   14. Participates in organizational performance improvement activities.
   15. Performs Cosmetic Surgery & Reconstructive Surgery Procedures as per his/ her Clinical Privileges.

   17. Meet with a patient to learn complaints, symptoms, needs and desires, and medical history.
   18. Examine, assess and diagnose patient deformities caused by accident, disease or congenital abnormalities.
   19. Diagnose the problem, suggest a medical procedure to correct it, and explain the benefits and risks.
   20. Performs surgery to enhance physical appearance; order diagnostic tests and prescribe medications and treatment
   21. Meet with the patient following the surgery and make post-operative recommendations.
   22. Undertakes all work in accordance with the procedures and operating policies, including Infection Control, Health and Safety, Risk Management etc.

8. Operates on patients to correct deformities, repair injuries, prevent and treat diseases, or improve/ restore patients' functions; utilizes clinical privileges granted to him/her for admission and treatment of patients.
9. Shares the on-call schedule in the Department as required and ensures continuity of care for patients while on-call
10. Refers patient to medical specialist or other practitioners when necessary.
