The contest emphasizes the development of information and technology, encourages information experts to give their best, and cultivates their skills and creativity. These are the four standard criteria on which the websites were evaluated; Services; in terms of easy navigation and surfing through content, pages and links. Second Criteria is Content; in terms of information accuracy, maintenance, updating and the quality of material. Third Design, organization and arrangement formulates the third criteria for evaluation. And the final measure was Search Engine Indexing, on following the development trends, files coordination, speed to response and indexing of search engines.
This unique award is the first of its kind in the Arab world and is the highest. 2008 was the third year of the competition. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al- Sabah delivered the award to New Mowasat Team.
